Introducing Kinfolkology 2.0

Members of the Kinfolkology x Community: NOLA Team will introduce themselves, Eola will introduce Jennie, Dr. Williams will lead a “hard hat tour” of the two databases housed @ Kinfolkology, Oceans of Kinfolk & Louisiana Kindred. Then she will open up the floor for questions and exploration of Ancestor Profiles.

Introducing The Awujo Forum

5:00 - 5:45

Awujo Forum Feasibility Study- Eola Dance, Dr. Eva Baham, and Dr. Jennie Williams will lead participants in 15 minute breakout sessions exploring equitable governance (Eola), descendant-led initiatives (Eva), and Data Sovereignty (Jennie). Participants will provide reflections exploring the successes and challenges they’ve faced in each area of focus and consider agenda setting for a community of practice and the desire for an annual convening in 2026.
